Movie Watch: The Watchmen (2009)

Here comes what many thought utterly unfilmable: the arguable Holy Grail of comic stories comes to the big screen, with several actors that only someone like me would recognize (not that the masks help any). When I first heard about The Watchmen, I was immediately skeptic. Then I saw this, and I can do nothing but anticipate it highly.
I honestly hadn’t heard of this until i saw a preview b4 Dark Knight on Thursday. It looks very good and intriguing. I’m a BIG fan of some of the actors in it (Jeffery Dean Morgan, Jackie Earle Haley, and Patrick Wilson) and when i read the premise it seems to be a very good idea.
The author of the graphic novel is apparently a LITTLE POed about this adaptation, however he was pissed about V for Vendetta and (i think) it was a GREAT film. Did he approve of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? Cause i’m pretty sure that even Sean Connery knew it was god-awful…
I think this will definitely be a winner, can’t wait to see it!
